For months on end, Shikwari had been on the search for Kruger’s pack of Wild Dogs. These beautiful canines roam the Savannah and can travel over 40km a day. Their slender bodies allow them to reach speeds up to 60km/h in full sprint.
The according to National Geographic the weight of a Wild Dog can range between 17,9 kg to 35,8 kg. They usually live up to 11 years. See the image below, also provided by National Geographic on the size relation compared to a Human.
Wild Dogs need large spaces to roam and are currently endangered due to the main threat of habitat loss. Farmers have also been known to kill wild dogs as they are a threat to their live stock.
